Looking for Books

Asalam Alaykum!

I'm anot American expat and looking for other American expats who may have English books. Fiction preferred but would take non-fiction. I have a few fiction books to trade. I'm starving for Books on English and shipping them from home will take a while until my friend gets enough things together to ship.

Or...is there anywhere to find books in English here in Algiers?

Thank you in advance!

Salam!

Wa alaikum salaam! I'm English and living in Algiers. I don't have any books to trade but just wanted to say that the bookshops facing Bouzareah university carry a selection of English books...some non fiction, text book type ones but also quite a few fiction titles for adults and children.
A few days ago I saw a post from Hopeland institute in Cheraga stating that they are currently selling off a lot of their old books (fiction and non fiction) so it could be worth popping in there too. Hope you get to find something soon!

I'm American and until recently lived there for 11 years. Most of the books there are the old classics read in schools. You will not find any of the more modern books. I had the same problem and finally bought a Kindle. You can download from Algeria despite what Amazon tells you. There are thousands of free books you can download and read.
