Hi,
I currently live in NYC with my Argentine financee. We are getting married in San Isidro, Argentina in April 2008. I am in need of a wedding planner who can help us arrange all the details such as flowers, food, photographers, etc. Any recommendations would be quite helpful. I need someone who speaks both english and spanish.

One of the people who bought my relocation book is planning to be studying in Argentina for the next couple of years and was a flower designer in the States. She's been featured in The Knot magazine. Hello,
I too live in NYC and am planning a wedding in Buenos Aires for April 2008. I have a wedding planner, her name is Graciela Surpi and she is amazing. Planning a wedding is hard, planning one away is even harder.
Graciela doesn't speak English, but I assume that your fiancee does.
Let me know if you'd like additional info on Graciela.

We arranged everything for ourselves with the help of her friends and family and, as well as being economical, we were able to dictate how and when things happened. The wedding night itself is spectacularly entertaining, and we had our reception in a beautiful antique bar in the buzzing barrio of San Telmo - was very romantic ! I'm so pleased to find this forum! My fiance and I will be in Buenos Aires
next month and would love to elope. As Americans, we plan to handle
the civil ceremony here in the States. But we would love to have a
quiet, private, romantic ceremony in Buenos Aires as our "real"
wedding. We're thinking just an officiant, a location, and the two of
us. We've looked into some wedding planners in BA, but what we want is
so simple I'm not sure they would take us as clients.
Any advice you have would be so appreciated.

I realize that your post is old at this point, but my fiance and I are planning to take a trip to Argentina this June and are hoping to elope there. We will have the civil ceremony here in NY, but would like to find a small, romantic location for the two of us to have our 'real' wedding. Just a symbolic ceremony in Argentina?
