Please take a few minutes to share your favorite kid-friendly activities and events in Argentina, ideas for inexpensive family getaways, great camps or other fun programs for kids.  Be sure to mention in which city or neighborhood the camps, programs, activities are located, and, if possible, include a Website address or contact information.  And, if you're looking for fun, new kid-friendly activities -- like many of us are -- feel free to use this thread to suggest starting a play group or collectively planning a family get together for expats in your area.

(This is a revised version of my previous post.)

Thanks, in advance, for your input!

Hi - I am new & posted something similar but isn´t up on site (maybe takes longer when new?). I am an American Mom of 11 year-old currently near Mar del Plata but contemplating move to Cordoba next year - are American children welcome on sport teams in your area? Our only negative experience so far is my son not being allowed to play in games - after six weeks of hard work & practice put in for 3 mintutes at end of game - the coach clearly didn´t want him on the team, as he´s American (athlete, friendly & social).

Any thoughts?

I should add that I could be wrong saying an 'anti-American' sentiment, it could have been simply a - anti-foreigner, non-local type of thing.

Here there is a lot of surfing which is fun. Skateparks which are great, movie theaters... etc. etc. Lots for kids to do in general.
