For many newcomers and those considering living in Argentina, access to quality medical care is a top priority. Please help those moving to your area by posting your experiences with the local health care system. Also, include any information about health insurance in Argentina. Be sure to post the name of your city, region or town.

We live in Santa Rosa de Calamuchita in the Cordoba Province. We don´t have any medical insurance cover and use the local Government Hospital when necessary.

We have used the hospital for minor issues and have always been very impressed with the service. The quality was always good. We were asked to make a small donation.

This option is good if you cannot obtain or afford medical insurance. However please note that dental care is not included and this is very expensive. I paid 900 pesos for a crown which is very, very expensive here in Argentina.
