Sergio,
You bring up a good point, pesos v. dollars. Try and have the monthly rental payments in pesos as they will likely decline in value over the next year while US dollars will rise in value.
Also, if you can bring US dollars with you the spread between the official rate of AR 9 pesos per 1 US dollar and the blue rate at AR 15 pesos to 1 US dollar is huge, take advantage of it.

Yes,the rentakl price is in Pesos. It will be to your advantage to bring in USD and to exchange it on the black market for blue. Also remember that you are often required to pay a deposit and for 3 months in advance plus the cost of the estate agent.

I have witnessed many a time discriminatory practices by Argentine Landlords against foreigners. The Landlord can demand an Argentine Co-Signer and up to one year of advance rents. Naturally the shoddier areas aren't as picky but do you want to live there.
I have also had an Argentine tell me a rental is AR 10,000 pesos a month and when I talk to an Argentine friend who calls and inquires on the same rental, suddenly the price is AR 4,000 pesos a month. So be prepared for almost anything.

You rent in pesos argentinos, now the new Codigo Civil y Comercial said is imposible to sing contract in usd, but it isn´t impossible, who write the contract know about how put in usd.
Also you pay one month for deposit, not more say the new codigo civil.
