Hi,
Argentina has certain requirements to obtain a permanent residency permit. One of the requirements is a Police Clearance Certificate from the country where you have citizenship. If you don't have a criminal record then you shouldn't have problems.
The best thing is to visit the immigration offices in person and enquire what is requiered because they tend to have different rules in different provinces.
Kind regards Nelieta

Argentina's requirements to obtain a permanent residency permit are long and laborious if not near impossible unless one of the spouses is Argentine. My wife and I when living in Argentina and owning vineyards held under an S.A. or Argentine corporation spent years on lost or redundant paperwork, lawyers and more. We finally gave up because it wasn't worth the effort especially considering we return to the USA several times a year and by doing so renew our 90-day Visas.
