Bank account with DNI

Hi, I finally got DNI on basis of "rentista", as well as CDI to make money transfers. However, I still cannot open a bank account, as banco central states all non Mercosur resident permits are temporal for first 2 years, and banco central does not allow anyone to open account with that. Any ideas how to pass it? Migraciones wants to have evidence of the 8000 monthly pesos entering the country legally...how can it be proven? Withou that residence permit invalidates itself in 12 months with no way to continue it.

Banks with the least restrictions are (well, were in 2009, and I gave the same advice about a year ago, and it worked):

Banco Itaú
Banco Piano
Santander Rió

The bottom line is unless you are a native Argentine you will have difficulties doing anything legal in Argentina. It is not a friendly and easy to do business with country with regard to extranjeros from the USA, etc. There are some exceptions made for people from neighboring countries like Boliva, Peru, Chile, Brasil, but for anyone north of México....it's another story. Tourists and their dollars are welcome, but anything endeavor beyond that produces a mountain of red-tape which very, very often can not be scaled. Even with Macri as the new president, it will take months, if not years, to bring any meaningful reform and provide processes that are realistic and do-able. Basically, I believe Argentines believe and want Argentina to be only for Argentines. Mario Llosa Vargas puts it into perspective when he quipped, to effect...The Argentine people have a wonderful ability to persist in error.
