I am 63 years old and possible have for the last time in my life, the chance, health and money (I think) to snow ski for a full season at Bariloche, Argentina.
-
Might someone provide a link for a website with rooms and/or long term apartment and/or house share rentals that are oriented towards 'Locals' and NOT Gringo and/or short term vacation rentals.
-
I speak an 'ok' low conversational level Spanish (from living 6 years in Mexico) and have NO problem mixing in well with local people.
-
Thanking all who respond

If skiing is you raison detre why not the world class ski resort Las Lenas unless you want Bariloche for "tree hugging" reasons.

Thanks for the reply.

I NEED a larger town (small city) so I can find reasonably priced LONG term lodging.. The 104,000 population of Bariloche gives me that opportunity. (I was told along the road leading out of the city along the lake.)

Also I plan to barter my Professional English Teaching services (MA-Teach Eng Lang., MBA) to owners and/or their families of local food markets and restaurants for groceries and meals to help keep my budget in line..

Bariloche offers me more of these opportunities.

Know any websites that can help me?

Thanks

Try the Ex-pat Club in Mendoza, it is possible some member may have good information for you about Bariloche and who to contact. David English was the President. Your language skills just might work for you. Good luck. david@english-associates.com

there is no snow here and none in Las Leñas either, though Penitientes has quite a bit. It depends on what you´re looking for?

There is an on-line mag called Four Flags Journal in which I have seen a write up or two about Bariloche. Might be worth a look.
