unfurnished apartment

I am moving to Argentina in December and would like to rent an unfurnished apartment in Palermo 2-3
bedrooms w/washer dryer hookup and balcony. I will pay the rent for a year in advance and would like a 3 yr lease. Any insight on costs for a unit similar to this? It MUST be unfurnished. Is it reasonable to assume that one could be acquired for 250-350 month plus gastones? recommendations for realtors? thanks for the info and feel free to call me if you have MJ. I live in Mesa Az. 321-215-7176

The rental law says 2 years lease. It's normally possible to extend it by one year at a time.

If the reason you want to rent unfurnished is that you intend to move your own furniture through customs in Argentina, you'll need a furnished apartment for 3 or 4 years while you wait and hope your stuff hasn't been stolen; you'll also need lots of money to pay the cust. oms and the mafia.

If you "250-350" is lbs of pure gold, then yes, if it is any currency from planet Earth, then no.

Expect the cheap end two room in Palermo to cost around 210 000 Zimbabwe dollars, app twice your suggestion if that's in US$.

I agree with St. John, I shudder to think of what you can get for US$250 US$350 a month. You better take a pistol and lots of ammo with you because you'll need it in that low of a rental area.

Here's a recommendation of an Argentine Realtor I have know since 2007 and he has helped many Americans.
