" Having just read everyone''s thoughts, Australia sounds great. We live in Canada and have been looking at Australia as one of the places we would like to move to this year. My husband and I are actively looking at the moment and if there is anyone who maybe able to give us any advise, job leads, recruitment info etc, we would love to hear from you. I work in the IT industry, software/hardware senior support analyst and at the present time I manage our company learning centre. " normally i think permanent immigration is pretty tough to australia. but w/ i.t. skills you should find many of the barriers eliminated, or at least lowered. i think the country has suffered a significant i.t. brain drain in recent years thanks to the promise of bigger money in no. america. maybe that''s changed now that the dot com industry has come back to reality. have a look for headhunters on the web. should be easy to find many who''d be happy to assist. Thanks for the article..I guess the decline in the IT industry is fairly global at the moment. We have all ridden the wave for awhile and got used to it....Will have to be very careful about before we make any big moves.
