Advice: moving to Australia

Hi,
I'm 28 year old and graduated in Industrial/management engineering. I'm living in Milan, Italy. I'm seriously intentioned to move to Australia, and would really hear from someone that has already done it, regarding the feasibility of the plan. Since I don't have a company sponsoring me, I basically have 2 ideas:
1) try to find a stage from here (Italy) and, during the traineeship, try to find a sponsor for a qualified job and a longer stay.
2) apply for a holiday working visa, find a temporary job, and in the meanwhile look for a sponsor.

Is there someone that could give me some information about the feasibility of that? Is it really possible to find a sponsor once there, or companies tend not to spend money for that?

Thank you for your help,
Lucas

Hi Andy,
I don't there won't be any problem coming here for studying/working. About working, it depends on your Italian level and skills, but in Bologna there are lots of students that look for a part-time job so you may be able to find something. And in Milan there are plenty of places where to ask, lots of fashion places and also gay bars, etc. You could give it a try, but I guess some Italian speaking is required. In the meanwhile, you could try to find something within the university, there are some jobs available for exchange students.
I hope this can be someway useful, good luck!
Lucas
