After 6 years in Europe and the US, we are calling it quits and moving back to Australia. We are originally from Adelaide but feel that life will be too "small" for us there and you cant go back, so we are moving to sydney like its another move... My kids have had 5 schools in the last 6 years so that is my main concern. They have always been in private schools but after the US, is seems lots of private schools in Australia are so old fashioned and religious which we dont want. Anyone have any info on selective schools in NSW, rose bay high school, reddam house, international grammer? I have a grade 3, grade 9, and grade 10 when we return mid next year.
any info you have will be very gratefully received.
thank you

We're in a similar fix. There's a web site listing all the "gifted schools" in NSW: either religious, non-religious public and private schools if that helps (http://home.alphalink.com.au/~drednort/schoolsinnsw.html). Balgowlah apparently has a good one for primary. Otherwise, you could just try the public school system. Seems that most of the private are indeed religious.
