" I will be living in Vienna in a short while...about a month. I plan on living there for at least a year, probably two, if not more. I''m currently living in the Netherlands, and am looking at a permanent residnence for Vienna. Where are the best areas? Is there any more specific info for Austrian expats? Any info would be much appreciated. "

" I really like the 8th district. It''s a tiny district just on the edge of the 1st (central). I moved into my apartment last month (finally got out of the hotel) and I love it. I have everything I need or want within short walking distance from my flat. Dry cleaners, a park, grocery stores, post office, cafes, bars, the tram. There''s an old church close to me, as well, with a large square in front. A nearby cafe sets up tables outside on the square and serves beer, wine, coffee, etc. My apartment building shares a narrow, old street, with several historical landmarks. The Rathouse (amazing city hall) and many of the other main attractions are less than 3 minutes away, by foot. The flat I''m in is a dream - 100 sq meters (1000+ sq feet) with tall ceilings, marble and wood floors, two bedrooms, a giant living room with a fireplace, and a bathroom with a bathtub, separate shower and sauna big enough for 5 or 6 people. For all of this, and in one of the absolute best locations in Vienna, I pay only 9,900 ÖS per months (roughly $600US). If you would like to get in touch with me about Vienna, feel free to email me at loungefly3@hotmail.com . Enjoy your stay here... "
