Does anyone know of a reasonable health insurance plan for Austria? My husband and I moved to the Salzkammergut area in October of 2000. We are looking for something with a high deductible that would cover mainly hospitalization.

" Dear Madam, I am also looking for some answers what you are seeking. Please be good and send me an e-mail if you were able to gather information regarding to this rather important subject. My wife and I also planning to retire in Austria, we are currently living in the USA. I have tried all means to find out the cost of the health insurance but could not succeed. The only quotation I have is a US $475.00/months insurance which will go up by the age. Is it possible that there are no cheaper than this??
