Hi everybody, I am an Austrian and have lived for about 15 months abroad, so I know what it is like, if you don't know anybody and if you are new in a country, so if you need any help, let me know:)

Hi,
I am currently working as an au pair (been here for 3 weeks now) in Krems, and I am beginning to feel a little lonely for company other than the children and parents!
I would really appreciate it if you wouldn't mind meeting up for a coffee or something in Vienna, show me around a little perhaps, give me good tips on survival..
If you are interested, my email address is venus_211_2000@yahoo.com.
Thanks!

Hi, My husband and I will be moving to Vienna this summer and are trying to figure out which is the best district to live in. Do you have any recommendations? We are thinking the 1st, 8th or 9th or even the 19th. We are in our early thirties with no kids. Any help would be much awesome. Thanks, Angela

Hey Sunnygirl66
how nice of you to be there for all of us!!
I'm coming to Vienna in April. Maybe we can get together. How about, with a regular meet up with some members here?
I have some idea about where i want to live (outside Vienna), maybe with the badner bahn route or the U6 route. So when we come, it'll be apartment hunting for us. Think we'll be in Vienna for quite some time.
please write to me, it'll be nice. cinnamon_1130@yahoo.com

If you are looking for a local job in Vienna, then German is important, unless you will work for an international organization were English will suffice.

First of all a big THANK YOU! My wife and I vacationed in Vienna and visited and loved the country side and and small towns. What are the requirements for an American living in Austria. What is the cost of living? Will $5000.00 USD per month be enough to live in a small community? We have our own health insurance, and therefore will not need any government assistance.
