I would like to move to Austria with my best friend: my black cat. I have a European Passport from France.
We are actually leaving in Australia.
I would like some informations about quarentine in Austria coming from Australia and find out if I need particular requirements to move to Austria regarding my passport.
Living in Austria has always been a dream for me and I would be very happy to find out more about life over there.
It is a country very rich in culture.
How are the jobs prospect over there?
How much is the minimum rent for a very simple appartment?
How much is the minimum income?
I would be very grateful if somebody could email me some web sites or addresses where I could get all these informations.

hello marylene,

if you are a european citizen, you do not require any residence permit/work permit but a European registration. For this registration, you will require to prove your regular income. Therefore it is often difficult to come first without having a job.
About your cat, there is no quarantine in Austria but your will have to fulfill all the required vaccinations. I believe the Austrian embassy should be able to provide the exact list.
Austria is a very nice country with a lot of culture. I am sure you would like it.
Job prospects are not too bad, but only if you speak german.
Flats in Vienna start at around 500 Euro (1 room) per month.
