self-employed moving to the bahamas

I am interested in moving to the bahamas. I have a internet business so I would not need a work permit.

Interested in either Freeport or NP.

Is it better to buy or rent?
Would want a condo that has the typical amenities. 2 bedroom would be best for guests/office. Being able to have a seadoo or kayak close to the condo would be a plus.

How hard is a residency card if I were to buy a $200 000 place?

How hard is it to rent out an apartment if I buy a duplex?

How hard is it for a Canadian citizen to get a mortgage.

What is the best way to make calls to Canada/US and have a US number for my cellphone?

I really do not have much stuff to import.

Would I be able to bring in things from the US/Canada duty free on my trips there? (mostly clothes, small electronics, food)

I am a young single guy.

Any help would be appreciated.
