I have a few shares in US companies that get paid a dividend. I live in the Bahamas and am not a US citizen. How can I stop the US broker deducting with-holding tax from my dividends?

I think you have show evidence that you are not a US person. The broker should be able to tell you what tax forms to provide as evidence.

Your broker would know the non-resident forms to file. It should be a W8BEN. You will still have withholding taxes deducted, but they would be deducted at a non-resident rate, and only if you have the W8BEN filed.

You pay 30% on dividends as a non resident and no tax on the capitol gain. Schwab international has funds that are designed for non Americans that have no-with-holding on dividends.

Is there any way to make a reclaim on the 30%? Is Schwab the only manager doing fax free funds?

There is no way to reclaim the withholding tax. Regardless of where you live, you have to pay the taxes in the country where the money is earned. , either through investments or through employment income.
