Is there any restrictions with bringing my pitbull mix dog to live with me in the Bahamas?

well yes, of course there is clearance requirements. we are doing it with our dogs right now. There is a form online through the Ministry of Health (I believe). Just google it. You must get a vet to fill out a form and certify that the animal is up to date on all inoculations. Also, you must get him a rabies shot and wait a minimum of 30 days afterward to take him into bahamas but no longer than 10 months. Its a $10 fee with the form and there may be an additional fee when you get there- I can't remember. I know Jet Blue charges $125 per dog to fly from Ft Lauderdale. But hats it in a nutshell!

It was really hard for us to get forms mailed to us in the USA when we tried to bring our lab over, so my husband arrived 2 weeks before I did so he went to the office himself and picked up the forms. Then we had to get vet checked 24 hours prior to flight take off. Delta flies large dogs under the plane, it's sad to watch but at least we got her there. Bahamians aren't too fond of dogs, so be careful especially with larger dogs, make sure to leash them all the time.

Not sure but you might want to check. Don’t think they allow pit bulls.
