Hello there and welcome to the boards. First, I would suggest reading the different posts others have put on this topic here. Most of what you are asking is covered. Also, do your own research: bahamas.gov.bs is a great place to start. Second, your skills would really determine where the best place to find a job would be. Also, have you been to the Bahamas? This would help you identify which of the Islands would suit your tastes best. As a work permit is only granted through your employer after you already have a job offer, the ground work of finding out where jobs are available and in what industries, really begins by approaching those specific companies that you might have the skills to work in and see if they are hiring. The drawback to work permits, you can only get one if no one in the Bahamas is able to do your job. Specialized skills are the easiest to get permits for. Last, a lot of people will give you a heap load of negatives why it can't be done, but if you are ready to work at it and be patient in the process, it is possible. Hope that is heplpful.
