Commute by train? Brussels to Gosselies

Hello,

I am considering taking a job in Gosselies, but I have heard that area isn't so great to live in. It was suggested I live in Brussels and commute to Gosselies. Is that possible to do with out a car? I am trying to avoid buying a car and would like to do this by train. If anyone could give me an estimate on the time it would take and the cost, that would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance!
