I haven't seen anything about trash service. Is there any recycling, what areas have it and don't?

Recycling ??? We don't even have in Texas , they've only just got a garbage truck in AC , courtesy of Taiwan. Dogs do most of the recycling

On the Placencia peninsula trash collection is twice a week. Local beer (Belikin, Lighthouse) and soda bottles are recycled - the glass bottles are returned to the factory, washed and refilled - the best recycling there is! Nothing else gets recycled.

I live in Consejo Shores in Corozal. There is garbage/trash once a week but there is also a dump site on the way into down where you can dump your own garbage. That is what we do. There are no recycling places that I know of here.

Oh yes, they do recycle the glass beer and soda bottles.

More curious about the system used outside the major population areas.

Yes it is.

On AC trash is collected daily with larger items on Mondays. People save the glass Beliken bottles to return to the depot as you get much cheaper beer and soda this way. All other bottles are dumped
