We are receiving word from missionaries there that they are leaving because the drug cartels have made it very unsafe.. Anyone experienced this?

I don't know what part of Belize the missionaries are in but the only place I ever here of any real drug problems is Belize City. Crime is high there as well. We live in Corozal and feel very safe here.

Where do you get this information from? I just cannot imagine!
We live in Belize with our young children in Cayo and would leave like a shot if we ever experienced anything untoward or were in any sort of danger of that happening. We have been here 15 peaceful years and will let you know if that changes!

what part of the country?

My thoughts, If you are mixed up in drugs then you may have some fear and that's any part of the world not only in Belize or as the so call first world countries want you to believe, there are more drugs in the first world countries, cause that where the destination from all the cartels sends their drugs, I am not from Belize but i love the country, the locals do not indulge in the drug trade cause they don't have the money to buy and distribute the stuff , but we have those that came from the first world countries that do the drugs and do the trade those are who you have to fear not the locals.

Im not quite understanding what missionaries are doing in a Christian Co. that is predominantly Catholic. I know many church groups help with the schools. Ive never heard of missionaries in Belize. I know there are areas where drug runners hide out, but no one goes there , Sounds a bit of a 'tall story'

What do these people do? I think they are the one that screw up the world where ever they go, they all try to instill their will and culture on other races and culture they bring war to peaceful nations.

Actually they are Catholic missionaries and they work in the churches
there.. Helping out whtever the needs are of the parish and the people
living there. They usually help feed and clothe the poor or give them
medical help..

That's their intention but all over the world they have created chaos and they end up hurting our children using them for their sexual fantasies and creating all kinds of atrocities in their wake,

I don't believe they are very well informed. I think Belize is very safe.
