Help with long term rental

Good evening. My wife and I are being bumped out of our current long term rental by owners coming for an extended stay, so we need a place to land May1 that is at least semi furnished. Probably 6-12 months. $750/month or less including utilities. Does anyone know of anyone who has something we might be interested in? Anywhere on the mainland except Belize City area and Dangriga. Stann Creek and Toledo would be great. Anywhere else considered.

why not Belize City area? Crime/cost of living?

Those are two good reasons.
BC does have a night life and available products as well as people but I think it's the quality of living that many expats are looking for but maybe you want something different...

Crime. Its not a place to retire to

The beach section isn't that bad especially during the day.
Just stay out of the Southside !

BC has the third highest murder by gun rate in the world, you either smell weed or cordite. Lol.

I heard recently that BC has jumped up to #7 in CA but I thought that was per capita !
I just saw a list of the top 50 murder cities in the world and BC in not even ranked (YET) !

That's if you don't take in 2014 statistics which was not a very good year for Belizeans ! The U.N. stats. has Belize at # 3 !
Unfortunately it's moved beyond BC now !

The latest figures published in the Guardian, rank Belize City as #3 Hence both USA and Canada issued travel warnings in the last few months

Yes, I mentioned that. Just not posted yet. It was down considerable in 2013 and most travel boards are still using those numbers !!!

I prefer the Corozal region due to the nice mixture of expats and regulars. Less rain and the close proximity to Mexico and shopping in Chetumal. No need to ride down to BC !

We go to Belize City to shop sometimes but I would not want to live there.

Those are a lot of the reasons we live here! ?? We do make occasional trips to BC and OW to shop when we don't want to go to Chet.

I'll say this that the monthly furnished rental I found in Corozal for $425US with AC that I thought was a great deal, is not a great deal after seeing some other places expats are renting and talking to some old timers.

But that's okay it's a learning curve, I figure, I'm in it for the long term. Having a coffee maker is a big improvement for me don't have to hit the pavement looking for my "fix" every morning. I can save some money cooking my own food have full size fridge but eating out is pretty cheap especially if you take advantage of some of the street vendors.
You should be able to do great with $750 assume you meant USD? If you can afford to rent a motel room - like $25 a night - at first and bang around a little, I'm guessing you will do a lot better on the price ?
