Coming down in April or May. Looking for a place to stay for a week preferably a BB or similar. Looking for active area, and a place to meet Expats. Retiring in 2 years. I've been reading up on Belize. Any areas to target?

Hi Gregc 1962:

I would strongly suggest Ambergris Cayes as your destination. I am in Corozal for the winter and not a whole lot iof things to do here but I did fly over to A/C last weekend and rented a golf cart in San Pedro and had a great day touring the island and meeting a lot of Expats. Try The Royal Caribbean Resort, you will really like this cottage style rentals, white sand beach, large pool, bar and restaurant. Have fun.

Hi Greg.
Lived on AC for years. Great place to meet expats and party. There will be loads of places to stay April/May as your out of high season. Just check tripadvisor and look for deals. Good luck
