Well said to Steve

Well said my fellow expats of Belize. Here's the logical truth Steve. SO WHAT? It's not like Belize has tons of things provided by the government anyway. If the government "collapses" everyone on this forum will still be throwing darts, drinking beers, fishing, laying on a sunny stretch and nothing will change (It's not like the Gov't provides tons of services anyway and the basics will continue). THEN, MAYBE there will be a dip in real estate values (a GREAT TIME TO BUY MORE) and then things will move forward again. Americans, Canadians and Europeans will continue to come to Belize for the sand, reef and friendly people as they always have.

Ant Ashcroft's debt - it will be worked out on a new payment plan and Ashcroft will get MORE interest (or maybe just get BTL back).

People put to much faith in governments and gov't promise and act like they (governments) do much more than they actually do.

Remember 1929, Black Monday in the 80's and the 2008 housing collapse in the US Steve - all CREATED by governments, not saved by them.

I'm going to go for a walk on the beach (hope the sky doesn't fall on me - although I will be on the lookout for coconuts dropping, THERE'S a real danger looming).
