Hello all, I'm looking for helpful hints/contacts for the San Ignacio area. We'll be there Saturday afternoon on Feb 25th until early in the morning on Tuesday the 28th when we head up to Corozal.
We spent a week in Corozal last November, looking at rentals/houses/land. We want to do the same thing in the San Ignacio area. Looking to relocate in 2020 and trying to get our ducks in a row now. Having already been to Corozal we're pretty much all set with realtors and locals in Corozal to help guide us to the right people but need those contacts in San Ignacio.

Known Jonathon for many years. As a real estate guy myself I like him and welcome the opportunity to work with him when the time arises.

I looked up the Realtors on the web and Joshua got back to me. I got private messages from another realtor. I'll be seeing Ken when we get to Corozal, he was a wealth of information when we hung out with him last time. Our days are packed, 3 Realtors lined up, time with Ken and others we meet in Corozal last November and well bring friends traveling with us to see the Lamanai find via boat one if the days too. And if I recall, Wednesday is coconut ice cream day in the town square in Corozal. My wife'ss favorite.

Follow up on this thread. thanks to all who responded and offered tips. I'd say our visit went well. We met Ginny from Keller Williams and Joshua from Cieba realty. Both had lots of information and were friendly and professional with no pressure to buy. We also had dinner with Morphy33 from this forum and he and his wife and a bunch of good information on relocating to Belize. That took care of the San Ignacio area. In Corozal we met with Eleanor from Century 21 and Lincoln from Re/Max. We did the Lamanai ruin tour and also met with KenUbelizeIt from this forum who hooked us up with a local general contractor who had a wealth of information. We got to see a house he built that using a desalination system for fresh water as well as another house he built that has a system that sucks water out of the air that you can drink. (5 gallons/day). Ken introduced us to a couple of expats and we met locals as well as we checked out various houses and plots of land. Ken was a great tour guide when we visited Corozal for a week last November too. If you want a local to show you around, reach out to Ken. Both San Ignacio and Corozal had friendly people and Belize has something for everyone. For us, we still are very strongly leaning towards the Corozal area. My wife and I are looking forward to our next trip down there and are hoping by then that we might own some land.
