That depends a lot where you rent, and what you need. Another important factor is the season.
You can get something for 200 USD or also spend 1500 on a 1 BR.

I am a single woman as well and want to move to Corozal. I've researched a lot but haven't even been to Belize yet. Planning on coming in May. Thinking of taking one of the tours to see several parts of Belize before I decide. I love that Corozal is so close to Mexico.

I like Corozal. I live there from time to time. There is not much to do there, that's what I love about it. The people are friendly, the bay is pretty, and the food is good...I love it...

I haven't been to Belize either but it is somewhere that has always been on my bucket list, I hope to visit there in the fall to see if it is somewhere I would like to spend 6 mths a year, I was going to go to Florida went I retired to get out of these cold, long Canadian winters but then I started to look at other options as the US isn't somewhere I would want to go these days and I would like to explore my other options now to see where I could go .

Tours may not show you everything...there is a fellow named ken that seems to cover more ground.

We were just looked at Corozal. Yes it is close to mexico but it costs to go back & forth across the border, plus duty to bring in goods. Hotter than heck, the bay is too shallow to sail & no snorkeling, restaurants limited. Roads to outer ex pat areas are pot hole alleys!

I love Corozal and the weather here is Fantastic! Because Corozal is in the far northern area of Belize its less humid and cool up here (Not a lot of mosquitos). We live two miles from the Mexican border and go shopping and the movies in Chetumal Mexico about once a month. We purchase inexpensive fresh organic fruits/vegatables in the town of Corozal. Belize is a beautiful developing country with a very diverse mixture of people from all over the world living together in PEACE! I have to admit that I am a citizen of Belize so I'm a little bias. Take a look at by Belize blog belizerichlife.com. and lean more about this fascinating country. I wish you PEACE from Belize! ??
