AC is full to overflowing with expats and some reaklly good honest realtors. This question is asked weekly why not put a question in the search box and see all the answers that pop up. Enjoy your trip. Wen lived on AC for 16 + yrs for your info.

It s easy to move to Belize. I just rented a house in the City and moved last October.
Since than I have been moving around in the country trying to find the right fit. It s a lot harder to stay than to just move there. And I m not talking about money.
The property prices are ludicrous. If you want to get the standard 10%+ return it is hard to find places. It makes only sense to rent. Even staying in hotels is usually cheaper and due to the flexibility better than buying.
My main struggle is that no goods are available. I came from a small Caribbean island. But there I can buy Swiss Gruyer cheese or Raspberries every day at outraigeous prices. In Belize that is not even possible.

Mikxx has it right you're probably going to move around as different areas have different subcultures. Real estate is best explored while you're there and talking to locals and expats
