Hey,
I am an expat in my male,mid-late 20's who's moved to Bermuda recently.
Keen to meet people outside the work environment. What are people's recommendations for meeting other like minded-folks (aside from just at the usual drinking holes everyone seems to speak about at work). Interested in exploring the island etc. if there are other newbie expats around.
Let me know. :)

I am following this thread, as I am seriously considering a move from US to Bermuda. I received the offer, still not satisfied with relo payment of only $5K. I will need to cover my housing and all expenses. It just doesn't seem customary

I would imagine that's kinda a starter's level relocation package. Depends what industry and position we're talking about though.

Of course you are right, meeting people in a bar is... lame.
There are "clubs" of all sorts here. For example, Canadians have a group, so do young moms. There are country clubs, etc. People into history often join the National Trust. Get a feel for the groups here: http://nothingtodoinbermuda.com/
