How much would a single person need to make as their base annual salary in order to have a good quality of life and also save a bit too? Company only pays $1,500 accommodation allowance and only 50% health insurance which is $300.

hello
I'm from the UK, and about to fly out soon to start a new job. I've been looking at the figures and cost of living.
I'm not getting anything per month from my company but they are finding my a place and paying for the first three months, then I can look around or get a new deal. But to your question I would say $80,00 PA is the bench mark will but as you are getting help, $70,000.
Steve

You will need a minimum an actual minimum of %50,000 for one person. Also insist that your employer find you housing as housing is expensive and very limited. Unlike any place I traveled or lived in the world Bermuda has been the most expensive and least accessible for relocation.

Best of luck to you!

If you are covered on 1500 on housing every month, that's the majority of your monthly expenses if not 50%. Housing is expensive, but you can rent a place at 1500 or share below that.

But on the safe side, I would say you should account for another 800 to 1500 for any excess expenses (depends on your spending habit). The rest you can probably save, that way you can work out if the package is good enough for you.

I wouldn't move here on less than $70k pa. That gives you a good enough salary to be able to afford to socialise, live in ok accommodation, have a couple of overseas trips per year and make savings.
