" Hi All- Would anyone know of a way to get a visa for a friend who lives in Sao Paulo. I would like her to visit California for a couple of months. She''s tried the consulate in Sao Paulo, but was denied based on the fact that she''s not a student, has no car, and no job. She has a strong interest in technlolgy and I would like to give her the opportunity to learn more about computers here in California and take that experience back to Sao Paulo. "

" Dear Sr, I am Brazilian, I have been studing in England since july and I will stay here untill december. I would have been to Canada but they refused my students visa as well. I just graduated in international business las year so I need be fluent in english to work in Brazil so I bought a package for 7 months in Toronto, everything was paid (course, acomodation, return ticket), moreover I have car and a flat, but they said I would probably stay in Canada because I had not ties in Brazil as college or university, job, wife or children. So I advice you contact the home office in USA and ask for information about the best way to get the visa. Perhaps you have to pay everything and send the papers to american consulate in Brazil. "
