hi. im new to this messge board....the story is that im a lawyer in nyc and i want out out out. - i was wondering if anyone knows what the job market is like in brazil - is there any market for young profesionals? it doent necissarily have to be law related or anything. just somewhat decent pay in order to pay off my student loans. does english help for getting a job? i'm gonna try to move next year and will start to learn portugeese soon. but the reality of it is that i'm not gonna ever be entirely fluent (probably not even close) in any case, any info would be great. thanks - d

Moving to Brazil is one thing - moving to Brazil and not knowing specifics is another. If you cannot speak the language and you do not understand Brazilian law, you might want to rethink your plans unless you have some other skill set that will generate enough income for you to sustain the life style you expect. I am not trying to rain on your parade - just giving you some food for thought.

I am also looking for employment in Brasil. I'm both a brazilian and american citizen working in the U.S as a therapist (social worker) and speak both portuguese & english. I'd like any help and direction that can point me to employment resources. Thanks!

Hello, I am wanting to work and live in Brasil. Do you have any information on how to obtain a working visa. I work in Radiology and am a registered xray technologist. If you have any information about finding a medical job in Brasil please let me know. Thank you, Carol Ann Morris
