I have just bought a house in Brazil and am experiencing problems opening a bank account to pay bills etc... I have a CPF Where do I go from here? I am having no joy with either the Brazilian embassy or the consulate. I have returned to England but hope to return to Brazil soon

With a CPF number you should be able to open a bank account. What are the problens you are facing? Where is your house in Brazil?

Normally you would open a bank account when you bought a property.Each bank branch has its own rules about accounts.They will open a bank account if you use their services investments etc.But if you just want to pay a few bills why should they go through all the extra paperwork!
