Hi, i have been living in Porto Alegre for the past four months. i really like it here, but i am yet to run into another foreigner. As far as i am aware "start talking cafe" has now permanently closed.
i would love to establish a more 'real' life here. Any advice welcome :)

Hi I am the old owner of Start talking cafe, and yes we closed 2 years ago. I am surprised you haven't met any foreigners, there are loads. I have a monthly meeting with the Dutch guys and we already have a group of 15. Other nationalities there are even more. At the Goethe institute they have a night a week. Or try the panamerican school

Hi,
I am also a foreigner in Porto Alegre and as the friend above me wrote, there are many many foreigners in the city. You are welcome to visit "my porto alegre" site: My Porto Alegre Dafi.

Hi Victoria,
I moved to Porto Alegre a few weeks ago and am also interested in finding fellow expats. Are you still living here and have you had any success?
