Hello
The place I most like in Brazil is Fortaleza, CE
Nice Beaches and warm weather all year long.
Go to "Praia do Futuro" and you can live modestly with US$500. per month and drink coconut milk every day.
Good luck!

If you have first hand information about Fortaleza
and the area anywhere around Bahia, I'd like to know more. I am experienced in Brazil, but
know Bahia the least outside of a few weeks in
Salvador long ago where I enjoye a great time. I hope to vist Brazil again soon and travel to potential retirement sites in Bahia; then, visit friends in the South, too.

It depends on where in brazil you want to be. Brazil is huge and every state is different

Interested in learning more about Fortaleza and NE Brazil, because I'd like to visit there for a few weeks in July-Aug09.
I'm thinking about moving there, but know more the So. of Brazil and Salvador.
Maybe I'll move to Brazil in a few years - I'm always busy working, but I think it's time to enjoy life more.
