Hello Zio and Costaeriksson, I am would like to move to Brazil in 2009. I'm unsure of the best approach to take. I am a licensed clinical social worker, and would love to find work in my profession, but I'm not bi-lingual at this time, so that seems unlikely. Is teaching ESL the most realistic route so employment for someone with my background? If so, is ESL certification needed?

I am a headhunter specializing in computer consulting for governments like various USA States. I have been to Brazil several times and never for less than a month; also, plan to visit sometime soon. It's been awhile since I've been to
Brazil and must return to visit friends and visit potential residence sites for the future - maybe coastal areas like parts of Bahia would be of interest.
My wife I met in Campinas and we live in Gold Canyon, Arizona, suburb of Phoenix. I would like to learn about Bahia and other coastal areas of Brazil; however, I have visited many areas in the past and consider myself very knowledgeable about Brazil having been a "Brazil Nut" for so many years - I like to think of myself as part brazilian esp. in spirit.
