Hello Betsy. Holidays in Brazil change from area to area. We will have LOTSSS of holidays in 2009. Note that Normally when a holiday happens on a THU or TUE normally the day after or before is ´a bridge´. January everyone is in holidays and the biggest city of South America gets almost empty ! Everyone is at the seaside ! January is a good month to visit Sao Paulo: no traffic, hotel prices are cheaper and the city works normally. ;-) If anyone needs help here, can contact me: claudia@gcanet.com
