Working in Brasil

I am an American citizen but already own a home in RJ, have a bank account, a permanent visa, CPF, and a drivers license.

I was qualified for a permanent visa under brasilian federal law because I am retired in the USA.

Now I would like to work in brasil. Is this possible since my permanent visa was granted because I was retired in the USA?

Hi!

This is a serious matter. If you are back in the US please talk to the Brazilian Consulate near you. If you are in Brazil, ask the Federal Police. or contact a specialist lawyer They will be able to tell you. As you have said it, I think you will not be able to work legally because you are here on a retirement visa.
Good luck,
Margaret
