From what I understand general electrical work is not very well paid in Brazil.
Can anyone offer me any advice on this, or a website where I can find more information.. I have searched alot on the web and its been fruitless.
I am up to date with all uk electrical installation regulations, and have alot of experience within industrial and domestic field also I'm thinking about going into photovoltaic and alternative energy work. And am learning portuguese at the moment.
I want to earn minimum of 20-40,000 GBP a year equivalent in Brazilians dollars, is this unrealistic? Or only achievable if contracting or running a business?
Any help, or anyone who can point me in the right direction for this information would be greatly appreciated.

try this link. this is an excellent guide to doing business in Brasil. Remember that business in Brasil is a VERY personal affair. You have to know the right people to succeed. Are you prepared to live in Brasil with very limited income for an extended period of time while your business grows? In what city will you live and work? How will you communicate? (very important) do you have any friends there? Perhaps there is an expat organization you could contact. I wish you the best of luck and please post your business card so I might hire you to install solar panels in our soon to be built home. http://thebrazilbusiness.com/

Hi exnyer, thanks for your reply, and the link.. very helpful. I have heard its very personal so will have to do alot of networking. My partner has a very good job in Brazil, but obviously I don't want to be dependant on her income and have some property here in the UK I can rent, but still need to be earning a good wage fairly quickly. I'll be living and working In Rio, and should be fairly fluent in portuguese by the time I move there. I'll send you a business card shortly, however won't be emigrating until early 2014 earliest.. however doing as much preparation as possible.
