I just completed writing this "Expat's" personal appraisal and anecdotes about my life in Brazil over the past ten years. If it sounds interesting, please check it out: http://j.mp/stevecutler Please be sure to let me know what you think about it. Thanks, Steve

Hi there! Are you looking at life in Brazil from a Sao Paulo point of view? Where you are in this huge country makes a big difference. For instance, I have lived for 9 years in the Northeast and here, what goes on in SP makes very little difference to us. Large policy changes from Brasilia do affect us but life here is very different than in the south. It's why many Paulistas move here or retire in the Northeast...less stress and lower cost. Also better weather. Drop me a line...we can talk. Andy

Hello Steve, What a great accomplishment to write a book about your expat experiences! II am really looking forward to reading your book! We are a family of five living in Curitiba Brazil. We are always interested in hearing accounts of others living in Brazil!! Congrats and we will let you know what we think. Warm regards. . Sallie

In this instance, location just doesn't apply - download it, it's fast reading, and see if you don't agree. Thanks for your interest! Steve

Hi there! I beg to differ about explaining life in SP as opposed to life in, for example, the Northeast. There is definitely a big difference. Have you lived in different areas of the country? Panantel? Amazonas? They are all quite different. I can write extensively about life in the Northeast but could not begin to explain your life in SP to others. This is a huge country with lots of differences from one region to another, including in nuances of the language. It upsets me that people who live in SP think they are the only people who matter in Brazil and that if it doesn't happen in SP, then it just doesn't matter at all. Andy

Andy Neil is right . Life in SPC or the interior of the state of Sao Paulo is just snapshot of life in Brazil.
