best place to live in Brazil for family

Hello all! My family is looking to move to Brazil this fall. We have 3 young kids and are trying to figure out the best place in Brazil for us. We think we like Fortaleza and Florianopolis. Any advice would be great! We would like for it to be reasonable living costs and walking distance to essentials like school and store and beach.
We would also like to connect with someone on the ground in Brazil to tell us ins and outs. :-)
