I have been trying to pay in Brazilian online shop with my Swiss credit card. It always states that there were problems with my card. i have tried visa and master, none of them work. Do I need a card issued by a Brazilian bank to be able to shop online here? I always thought the whole purpose of a credit card is that it is accepted worldwide...

Never tried on line purchases but lately have had a little problem in person. Debts have worked easier.

I'm using all sorts of foreign cards in Brazil online portals and they usually do work. If they dont I'm giving a call to my bank and transactions are usually locked for security reasons.
