Bringing Vitamins/Supplements

Hello! I will be moving to Brazil from the US in about 2 weeks and have a question as I begin to pack. I see a naturopath here in the states and take several vitamins/herbal supplements each day. I would like to bring these with me, but am wondering if I will encounter any problems bringing them into Brazil? I plan to bring just one or two bottles of some until I can find a replacement in Brazil. However, I plan to bring 3-4 bottles of others that will likely be hard to find in Brazil. Is this ok? Will I encounter any problems at customs? I will be arriving on a work visa. Thank you so much!

Bringing supps for your personal use, entering on an ND work visa should be no problem. Customs looking for people coming in to resell things for the most part. I say "should" mind you. On any day you never know for sure. Enough for a few months of personal use hopefully you can glide on in. There is a rich herbal culture in Brazil you can learn to maybe help you fulfill your needs locally. US/foreign products are appearing more and more online, just a lot more $ because of customs and shipping costs. Good luck with your Brazil adventure. PM me anytime if you like for more specifics.
