Fireworks

We spent 6 mos, from Nov - April, in Antigua, Guatemala and absolutely love Guatemala!!! BUT...we travel with a service dog and this year the large fireworks were almost daily and non stop. Nothing we or the vets could do helped as he could feel the air pressure change. Anyone know anywhere, with similar weather, where the fireworks are not a daily occurrence? Any help will be most appreciated! Kitaniga

Hello!
You could come to Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, a beautiful, safe island in southern Brazil where the period of time between November and April has the best weather you can think of. People here do not use fireworks on a daily basis....only when there is a football game and only before the match starts or when they score a goal. Also, you do not necessarily have to live near a stadium. Then you get fireworks at Christmas and New Year's Eve. And that's about it.
We, animal defenders, have been working hard to stop fireworks altogether because dogs suffer a lot with all the racket and they run away and get lost or have bad accidents. Fortunately, we have seen a good reduction in the use of fireworks in the last few years.

Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information.
