I want to buy an old van in Bulgaria but I have no residency or company which I can use.
I'm wondering how common it is for cars to be sold without changing the registration and it's kept in the name of the old owner to save money?
Can I buy a van with the previous owners reg. card and use that to insure the vehicle, and then if needed leave the country within 14 days without problems?
Thanks
PS if this won't work I would be grateful if there's anyone who has a company or such which I could register to!

Hi there, Bulgaria is a stickler for rules an regs, none of what you require is possible without residency. How ever you will be able to buy a UK reg van , from brits who have moved over there, who no longer require there van . I have seen them on sale on expat forums. You can get insurance on these vehicles. Good luck

Hi thanks for your input I was worrying about that. As for buying a vehicle but not registering it to yourself and keeping it with previous owner is that commonly done and possible?
Thanks
