Hey Jim and Jackie,
I have an apartment in Constanta Romania, and am about to sign a lease for one in Varna as well. Varna has slightly (a couple of degrees) warmer weather, and is a lot more of a city than Constanta. Don't worry...lots of farm land everywhere. I would start by saying Wikipedia all your questions, follow all the links, and you will learn everything you need to know. Also, to compare cost of living , crime levels, etc, go to Numbeo.com. Reasonably accurate. After all that, you can ask specifics, like shipping cars, insurance, medical, driving in Bulgaria (not the most fun you could have!) lawyers, real estate agents, the people and customs, etc.
Good luck...hope this helps!

Hi hope you are getting lots of info from he forum. We have a house in a rural village north of Veliko Tarnovo. We can vouch for the quality of the soil whilst at first we grew lots of vegetables etc we have now turned the garden into orchards and shrubs. Very adaptable The villagers all grow their own so no shortage of advice and help. Please look at web site.

Hi,

My partner (Paddy) and I are planning to drive from England to Bulgaria and then Greece next year and wondered whether you, your family or friends have any removals jobs that might coincide?

We have done this type of work before in the UK and thought it might be a good way to cover the cost of getting out there as we are on our way to Greece to volunteer for 6 weeks. We are going either the last week of January or the first week of February at the moment but can be flexible if a removals job arises thats best done before/after this time.

The main van is a long wheel base high-top Iveco which can take about 1 tonne of stuff and we also have a trailer but not sure that will be available (/we want to do that!). If you know anyone who has stuff they want taking in either direction we would love to hear from them.

Thanks,

Daisy B.

Post it on Facebook groups such asThe Pavlikeni Post, BG Buy, swap, sell, BG Bay and watch the replies fly in. There will be others doing the same but there is definitely a need

Do you think Varna is a good place for singles? Where would you suggest to look for an apartment for rent?
