I have for some time been interested in moving from Denmark to Bulgaria for my retirement.
I was in the Elhovo area and looked at two village houses, both renovated and left by the expat owner for about 5 years ago.
The pictures from the agent showed the houses as they look when the owner left, Now the roof was leaking and the houses were in a bad shape.
In the village there were only old people and gypsys left - beside a few British families
Aparently its difficult to sell a house in a village without losing money.
I will next time look for a house or flat in a small town like Elhovo or Elena ,
I would appreciate comments and like to hear considerations from Brits living there .
