I am very pleased to hear the release of Myanmar's pro-democracy leader Aung San Su Kyi, and really hope to see a sun shining on Myanmar again. I left my native country, family, and a wonderful wife almost four yrs ago to seek education in US. I like it here. Its the best place to live in the world, but I understand now how it is very hard to live far away from some one you love. I have more than three years of experience in International Hotel jobs, and hold an Associate degree of Arts from USA. I am pursuing a degree in Nursing to be a RN. I speak fleuent American, and Myanmar as a mother language. I am looking toward a new life in Myanmar ( Burma ) in working with America along the path to "a new era of the Golden Land" Please do reply me if you think that I would suit in your business in Burma, or anything you would like to know about my country. I hope that I can be a valuable addition in reconstructing the nation's new platform. Thanks for spending your moment in my message. JETQUEEN, USA

Dear muscles1955, according to your posted profile, you are from where I was born and raised! I live in NC now, and my pastor and his wife are going to Burma. What caught my eye about your postings is concern over your friend who went to Myanmar. Did he or she make it okay? Did you make it all right, too? <

thanks for replying...my friend went to bangkok to get his visa to go to burma but ended not going as it would have taked a week to acquire it...he didnt want to waste time in bangkok (he has been ther many time) so he went to cambodia and laos instead...he had a safe adventure and many meaningful memories and beautiful pictures. my children are half cambodian so one thing i really want to do in the future is to go on a medical mission to that area....i did go on my first medical mission to nicaragura last april..it was life changing....you mentioned that you were from toledo ohio? or from stockton? it is nice to know that there are connections in this world of ours.. kathy

David... Congratulations...you did go to get married! i read your letter from before you were going to go...thanks so much for all the sharing you have done on this site...it is helpful and interesting...i hope our life together is great. my curiosity now is..my children's dad is remarrying a young bride from his homeland of cambodia and will be bringing her home hopefully this month..he leaves today to fly there to bring her to his home...i am wondering how the transition to american life was for you, your wife...i am thinking ahead and trying to anticipate for my 2 kids as it is my hope to integrate her into thier lives as positively as possible..and i am a firm believer that knowledge is the gateway to understanding...so i look for opportunites to grow in my understanding...if you would like to share that would be great..if you dont..that is understood..too..so thank you in advance for whatever response you give..kathy
