Hiya, just joined this forum to see what I can learn about Burma. I had intended to marry and live in Thailand, but things are just not what they use to be there, so I am wondering what things are like your way, re, visas, long term staying, possible relationship, land ownership, and all those other things one needs to know if relocating...thanks ...Maaka. Man, where have you been? Burma is no place to be thinking about re-locating to. First of al,l you won't be able to live there. The place is not even set-up for individual tourism. You have to travel as part of a group. If can only get a visa for 14 days (I don't believe that has changed) If you were to travel around there on your own, you would have secret police following you and people would fear being open with you in a conversation. People are suffering there. it will be a long time yet before Burma truly opens up.
